Singing

Wow, I'm sure blogging a lot today!! Oh well, I can't help it, I'm the very proud mother of three adorable girls!! I also am the proud wife of my husband, I love the man, is it really possible to love another human being the way I do Randy and my girls? Sometimes it's unbelievable. So I wanted to share a video of Hailey singing, and there's actually two of them. The first is her singing the Veggie Tales song, she is three:

I took this today, she is singing "I Am a Child of God", I don't know why I added that, you'll know what she's singing when you listen to her. Oh well, that's me for ya, stating the obvious!!

Once she got done, Katie said, "My turn!" so I decided to let her sing as well, unfortunately, I had to help her out a little, so I hope you don't mind listening to me too. =o)

Easter

So yesterday was Easter and I must admit, I had a blast, even though we didn't do much at all. My grandparents had a big Easter Egg hunt at their house and they invited everyone down, there were around 15-20 little kids there, but there were plenty of eggs to go around. Then my siblings came up to our house and we ate dinner and then talked and received free entertainment from our kids. We have a circle in our house that the kids LOVE to run again and again. You see you run through our entry way through the kitchen and through the living room, and our kids (and any that come to our house) love to go around and around and around. We also like to chase the girls around, and we'll hide around a corner and scare them. Well Hailey was doing this yesterday and she was singing "The Wise Man and The Foolish Man" she is learning so many new songs from Primary. I didn't even know she knew this, but I must admit my heart swelled with pride to listen to her sing this song. She actually is a very good singer, she is able to stay on pitch and everything. She loves to sing and I love to hear her sing, she is so much fun. Katie is also a good little singer, but it's harder to tell if she stays on pitch, mostly because I haven't really been able to hear her yet. It's still little kid singing, but I think she does pretty good.
Then last night, Katie was helping us all be doctors, here are the pictures of us:

Katie is checking her Dr.'s teeth =0)
Dr. Randy
She did this all on her own.
After she put my stethoscope and glasses on, she thought I needed more:
Apparently I needed a drink
Our girls add so much life to our home, I love them so much!! I think life would be so very boring without them!

Katie

Ok, so I found this really cool web site that shows you who your child looks like. VERY fun!! Except I was a bit disappointed, it said that they equally looked like both of us on all their baby pictures, then I used some recent ones, and the only one different was Hailey and she supposedly looks more like me. I think she has more traits of Randy, oh well!! Too bad they don't a meter that would settle the war between Randy and me, you see Randy seems to think that during the day I give them lessons on how to be cute. When in fact they just inherit their cuteness from him, I haven't proved it yet, but I know they do. We constantly fight over who made them cute, this meter didn't help, if they would have looked more like him I could have some shred of proof that they get their cuteness from him. Oh well!

Nap time

I will never understand why kids have such a problem with nap time, don't they realize that one day they're going to be fighting to TAKE a nap? Why not enjoy it while you can? Everyday the girls take a nap, now that they are sharing a room we have to seperate them, so we take Zoe's swing and bassinet out of her room and Hailey takes a nap in Zoe's room, which we call the Pink Room. Sometimes we get lucky and Katie is really sweet about taking a nap, other times she cries and screams. Hailey always gives us problems, she comes out at least once to go to the bathroom and then she usually comes and tells me that she already took a nap or asks me some weird thing about just taking four naps. I just don't understand why they fight it so hard!! Then on days when they don't take a nap, we'll go somewhere in the van and before you know it they're asleep! Why do they put up such a fight. I guess that's just a part of being a kid. I would LOVE to take a nap! I'm going to be very sad when they no longer need naps.

Another thing that amazes me about my children is how different they can be from day to day. One day they want to watch Pocahontas and the next it's Spiderman. One day they'll eat cheese quesadillas the next they won't eat it. It's insane! Why can't they come with an instruction manual that gives you directions of how to deal with your kids on a day to day basis. Wouldn't it be so nice? Oh well, I guess maybe one day I'll have a handle on this raising kids thing. Of course by the time I do I'll be a Grandma, and then it will be learning how to handle grown up kids and grandkids. Obviously the learning process is never over. At least it keeps life interesting!

Cutest things ever!

I thought I would put more of our family pictures here, in case you can't tell I'm quite happy with my girls, and happen to think they are absolutely adorable! So here are a few more:

This is Hailey, she's four. She loved having her picture taken, she pretty much posed herself.
Here is Katie, she's two, she didn't like her picture taken very much at all.
And this is our youngest, Zoe, she is five months.

Random

So I have decided to try this whole blogging thing. I've been visiting some of my friends blog spot's and decided to give it a try! I just repeated myself, oh well. For any of you that know me that isn't unusual! I'll try not to do that too much here.

Well life here at the Grimes house is pretty crazy! It's often almost "Twilight Zone" when you see yourself miniaturized in your four year old daughter, who lately runs around the house trying to find the right path with Pocahontas. I've watched that movie six times in the past two days, thanks to Hailey who has mastered the DVD remote (at least the ok and play button). Usually in tow behind her is Katie, who sometimes gives people the impression of being the quiet one, she's really not.

It's very weird to actually see them interact and talk to each other. Every night when we put them to bed you can hear them in there, sometimes for hours talking to each other and playing. Thankfully Katie is still in a crib or they might never go to sleep. I am dreading the day when we move her to a toddler bed, thankfully she hasn't figured out how to crawl out of her crib yet. Perhaps we'll be able to keep her in the crib till she learns to do that.

I can't wait for the warm weather to come, we went out and played baseball with Hailey and Katie, unfortunately we weren't able to stay out very long, we went out too late. It was so much fun to be outside, the poor girls never get a chance to go outside during the day, it's too cold to take Zoe out there for longer than a quick walk to the mailbox. But Spring is on the way!
